DENTISTRY

As your horse’s teeth will continually grow throughout their lifetime; dental care and maintenance is an essential requisite in prolonging their comfort and longevity.

There are a number of behavioural and clinical signs that may suggest your horse has dental disease/abnormalities, including but not limited too;

-        Avoidance of certain foods

-        Head tossing

-        Aggression

-        Reluctance to take the bit

-        Inability to hold food in their mouth (quidding)

-        Weight loss

-        Excess salivation

-        Dental odour

Routine and expert dental examinations and treatments by one of our veterinarians, may help mitigate some of the above and/or prevent them from occurring.

We offer the ability to perform dental treatments and examinations under sedation, ensuring your horse is comfortable and relaxed throughout the procedure.
